Our Camino Family
This blog records our 800 km walk and adventures across the north of Spain. We are leaving sunny Queensland, Australia, to follow a 1200-year-old pilgrimage route, which is variously known as the Camino de Santiago, the Way of St James, and the Camino Frances. There are five of us in our party – Cindy, Julia, Debra, Geoff, and Mark. Of course, we hope to make many more friends along the Way (and indeed remain friends ourselves!).
There is a mixed range of reasons behind our endeavour – spirituality, adventure, relaxation, and a sense of doing something just a little bit different. We hope that this blog can do two things. Firstly, it seems like a good way to keep interested family members, friends and colleagues informed of our progress. Secondly, it is hoped that the blog can serve as a handy resource for others who may be contemplating or planning to walk the Camino.
